In addition to the pillow donation to the 911 call center, Milly also donated decorated Christmas stockings stuffed with gifts to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Teresa Vessell, Volunteer Services Specialist at the hospital, accepted the stocking donation from Stephen Chen, President of Mlily USA.

Knoxville, Tenn. – Mattress and sleep solutions provider Mlily USA surprised local 911 call center workers with gifts of over 100 pillows to thank them for working behind the scenes for the community.

Dispatchers work in a very stressful environment, the company noted. Mlily USA is actively engaged in educating consumers about the importance of sleep and the impact of a restful night’s sleep on performance, which is why the company donated the pillows.

“This time of year is a great time to thank all types of service members, the nice stranger at the grocery store or even the waiters at your favorite restaurant,” said Stephen Chen, president of Mlily USA. “We strive to be a good corporate citizen in the communities where we live and work, and this is one of the many initiatives we support to live up to these values.”

In addition, the company recently entered a Christmas stocking-decorating contest to benefit patients at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Company employees in Knoxville and Los Angeles competed against each other by decorating innovative holiday stockings and filling them with gifts that were placed at the foot of the children’s beds before they woke up on December 25. The stockings included goodies such as playing cards, crayons, coloring books, stuffed animals and other fun items that children can play and have fun with.

Giving back is an integral part of Mlily’s corporate ethics. The company has regularly made donations to other organizations such as The House That Mercy Built, a safe place for women suffering from drug or alcohol abuse, and Haibu, whose purpose is to educate posterity about global efforts for wildlife conservation. The company also continuously supports Special Spaces, a non-profit organization that transforms rooms for terminally ill children.
